went to see ‘Eurotrip’ with Aaron tonight. i needed a movie that i didn’t have to think about.. or feel anything. it worked. it wasn’t great. it wasn’t horrible. there were many a pair of fine breasts in the film.
went to Homebase Lounge (shit bar by the house) afterwards. thought i wanted to get drunk. drank three beers and gave up. momentary lapse into depression after the movie for some reason. didn’t feel like drinking anymore.
tomorrow i have to work. i’m ‘running the show’ at the plant all day. no bosses. no plant managers. me and one other guy (who is good at sweeping… and well… sweeping). should be an interesting day. p.s. they REALLY do need to pay me more for playing ‘foreman.’ it doesn’t seem right that i get paid the same amount as the guy that sweeps.. and i am worth MUCH more to the company than he is (as far as my understanding of the systems and my ability to run the plant solo). from what i hear.. suggesting this to a manager would be totally pointless. a shame really. ahh well.
going to bed. tired. not feeling ‘happy.’ let’s see what tomorrow brings.
holy shit. i just finished watching Pieces of April.
as i watched, i knew something was happening but i didn’t know what.
it was amazing. when April opened up the door to her apartment and i heard the *click* of the camera shutter.. and she hugged her mom. i burst into tears and cried for the last five minutes of the film.
that was a f*ckin’ fantastic movie.
i don’t know if i already wrote about this but… i’ll just go ahead and repeat myself.
i’m going to have about $600 in overtime on my next paycheck. i can’t figure out what to do with it. these are my options. each has its own pro and con. meh.
p.s. i honestly think i’m going (quickly) deaf from work. in the last two days, everything (noise) has been oddly ‘muffled’ as though i were holding my hands over my ears (not quite so drastic but a noticeable difference) being around running machinery all day long really does take its toll on my ears. gah.
things today.
i just worked a 19hr day… straight. i went in at 7am today (technically ‘yesterday’). it’s now 2am. i’m barely functioning. it’s been a long, LONG day (maybe i’ll write about the particulars later). i have to be back to work at 11am.
my overtime alone (on my next paycheck) will be about $725. i’m either going to put that into savings or apply it directly to my Jeep loan. i haven’t figured out which yet.
anyhow. g’night.
p.s. aaron is on his way to the hospital. he stuck himself in the hand with a cactus the other day at work while shoveling… his hand is now swollen and in a lot of f*ckin’ pain (says he). he’d better drive safe with the wet roads and my jeep. hope he’s okay.
my eyes are totally glazed over and bloodshot from lack of proper rest. i can’t wait for a day off (Sunday). well. i’m off to work.
it’s probably against the law or some such nonsense to take pictures in a supermarket huh…
…and it’ll be hard convincing a manager to let me take pictures of someone in a bunny costume. *sigh*
so. how does a person get the shots they need if they can’t shoot where they need to?? do we all just GIVE UP on certain photographic possibilities?
Neil is crazy enough to wear a bunny costume in public right?!
is there any way that i can get his phone number from you? i need to talk to him about a few possible ‘opportunities’… heh.
p.s. you need to talk to Carolyn (how DO you spell her name?). when it starts getting a little warmer and the days get less cloudy (brighter) we need to do that shoot. AND.. i still REALLY want to do the laundromat thing that we were talking about.. but actually… now that i think about it… if we can get Neil in a bunny costume.. and you and Carolyn looking all ‘hot’ (not that you don’t NORMALLY look hot).. i think THAT could make a kick ass bunch of photos at the laundromat!!! haha. so.. yeah.
i’m off to bed.
